On this hut there was a sign, it basically outlined the proven fact that in the event of a lightening storm on the summit of Mt. Whitney, the hut would "offer you NO PROTECTION." Apparently people have died inside of the hut while others survived outside of it when lightening struck the summit...I spent very little time inside of the hut myself.
